There are many ways you can get involved at Montessori Children’s House! Below is a list of the activities and volunteer opportunities available at MCH for parents and grandparents. If you are interested in any of the opportunities below, please contact us.

  • A fun, family event held at MCH in early Fall.

  • Families meet teachers and investigate their children’s many interesting learning activities on an evening in November.

  • This spring festival showcases the diversity of our school and our world.

  • Safe, Halloween fun featuring decorated cars and trick or treating.

  • A celebration of winter beauty, including warm treats, dancing and art.

  • Classes perform songs they have learned throughout the school year in May.

  • Picking a pumpkin at Howell Tree Farm in Cumming, Iowa, is a favorite annual field trip.

Support Us

Montessori Children’s House is a non-profit organization, dedicated to providing the highest quality education in the Des Moines area. There are many easy ways you can help support the MCH mission.
Remember, if you can’t volunteer your time, there are other ways to support MCH. Thank you for your support!

  • Please remember Montessori Children’s House in your annual giving through United Way. Just designate our school as the organization to receive your United Way donation (or a designated portion of it.)
