Classroom: Primary

Mrs. Sutton began teaching at MCH in 2001. Teresa attended Des Moines Area Community College. She also received her education through Montessori Centre International where she earned her International Diploma in Montessori Pedagogy. She is certified in First Aid, CPR, Universal Precautions, Essentials and Mandatory Reporting.

“MCH has been a second home to me for 27 years. It has been an amazing time watching my students grow in independence, knowledge, and confidence while in class. Over the years, I have had the privilege of teaching siblings, allowing me to get to know my wonderful MCH families more.”

Teresa enjoys spending time with her oldest son, daughter-in-law and grandchildren. Play dates and hugs are the best! She loves visiting and hiking with her youngest son and daughter-in-law in Colorado. She enjoys reading, yoga, wine tasting, being with friends and family and traveling.
